Reflection & Resolve

Have I told ya'll how much I love my life.  I have the best job in the world, the most wonderful family, fabulous friends (those I'm with all the time and those that I have made in my coupon journey) and massive Lord who has given me all of these things to enjoy.

Looking back on the last year, actually the last several, I realized how wonderful life is.  I was reminded of a passage in Proverbs 31:10-31.  Things are definitely different now, than they were a just 3 years ago.  And the journey has been long, challenging and fantastic all at the same time.

One of my spiritual gifts is giving.  I have always given as much I possibly could afford.  So I gave more of my time and talents, than money or things, due to lack of means not want. Now, with the knowledge I posses, I am able to give to charities more frequently,  and share that knowledge with others on a daily basis to either help their personal situation or to allow them to be more giving.

In the last few years I have made so many new friends in  workshops or online.  I have shared in your economic recoveries, additions to families, unexpected life changes and no matter what the case is you have all inspired me to keep on this journey we have started together focusing on a strong finish.

I am not one to do New Years Resolution, mainly because I know I will break them.  But this year I do want to make some life changes and I thought what a better place to get accountability partners than right here where we see each other day in and day out.

1.  I need to bring organization to all aspects of my life.  The business is well organized and runs like clock work, but the house, my life not the same way.  I have already begun to de-clutter the house.  If I have less stuff, it's gotta make it easier to keep organized.  As far as my life, I may have to learn to say no.  It is not a word I like to say, but I don't have a clone and can't do it all.

2.  Do stuff with my family.  Before you know it my son (23) and daughter (13) will no longer be in the house with us and I want to make some more great memories before they begin their lives on their own.

3.   Me time.  Yes it is selfish, but it is better than burn out.  I have a Groupon Certificate for a massage I purchased months ago I haven't used yet because I always find something else to work on.  Not to mention all the scrapbooking supplies I own that are collecting dust.  I love to be creative and I want to spend a little time every now and then doing that.

4.  Shape up.  No, not any crazy get skinny hopes here.  I like curves I just want to redistribute mine.  They have gotten a little out of wack.  At the end of 2 weeks there is 8 pounds less of me already, so I am already working on this too.  Healthy and Happy is what I'm striving for.

5.  I want to add a couple new aspects to the business.  I had a good friend tell me one time that he hoped one day I would be the Martha Stewart of being frugal. (I hope minus the jail time, lol) The go to on how to do anything, but do it for less.  That is something I pretty sure I can accomplish.  So be on the lookout for Fabulous Frugal How To's this year.

6.  Follow Thru!!!!  This applies to everything above and the rest of my life.  I am willing to take baby steps and with enough consecutive baby steps I will have formed new habits to take me to the next level of follow thru.  I can do it, I can do it, I can, I can :-)

Here's to a Rocking 2012!!!  What are your goals for this year?  Be sure to share your name so we can help keep you accountable.
