If you haven't started thinking about your candy and costumes for Halloween, it's time!!! Next to costumes candy is the next biggest challenge and expense. Especially if you live in a mega traffic neighborhood we are talking tons of money. Don't worry, your survivor tricks and treats are just below.
1. Candy Coupons - Do you know me? Check out our Top Candy Deals. We have matched the Candy Sales with Coupons to get you the best savings. Deals are usually best a few weeks before the holiday.
2. Candy Substitutes - So don't be that house handing out tooth brushes because of all the candy everyone else is doing. Opt for fun things like temporary tattoos or stamps. The favorite thing I have given out is glow necklaces, bracelets or sticks. I actually bought them after July 4 when they were on clearance. They are perfect for Halloween.
3. Coupon Books - Both Wendy's, Mc Donalds and Burger King has Halloween coupon booklets you can buy for $1 that has 8 -12 coupons in them for things like FREE Frostys, ice cream cones or fries!!!
4. Decorations - Everyone has a jack-o-lantern or two, so to complete the front porch decorating why not add some streamers or balloons. You can purchase them at the dollar store and not spend a whole lot.
5. Homemade Costumes - My favorite idea place is Pinterest. More ideas and how to instruction in one place than I have ever seen before. Also look for costume exchanges where you can take you kids old costumes and exchange them with others.
Make this the best Halloween ever and do it for less.
