  1. I went to the Pace Publix last night and they advised me that they will now require that you give them all the coupons before you start checking out! so be sure to add them up and know how much in coupons you will be saving. Last night when i got home i noticed that the cashier did not scan all my coupons :( its hard to watch and make sure you get the right price and they do all your coupons

  2. That is not part of the new policy. We are in a retraining curve right and things may be a bit bumpy for a few weeks until everyone is comfortable again. There is no reason they need to have all coupons up front, but I have been told that the $ off total $ can be given anywhere in the process and as long as your totals qualify at the beginning they have to take it.

If they argue that they have to have them up front, then I would instead put them with each item and make them scan them with the item.

  4. There is a letter from the Manager posted at each register in Cestview that states you have to give the cashier all coupons you are using on that transacion at the beginning of the transaction.

  5. I am not an avid Pace, FL couponer simply because most of what my family consumes is organic, raw or homemade. I do look hard for those diaper coupons though! I must say Publix is going above and beyond to help lower the ever rising food costs. Goes to show you how little food really costs- it's the mark-up that is killing the American family. It's great to see a high quality grocery store giving low class Walmart a run for their money. Needless to say, their quality FAR outweighs Walmart's "everyday low prices".

  6. I was going to comment that the Crestview store had a policy similar to this that went into effect several months ago. Maybe I misread it Janavee, but I understood they wanted the coupons placed with each item, not necessarily a stack of them at the beginning. That's how I've been doing it and they haven't slapped my wrist yet :) I would think placing a coupon with the item would be easier on the cashier. If a customer isn't willing/able to do that for the cashier, then I can see how they would want them at the beginning instead of the end. Seems like more work for the cashier to have to go thru a stack - and a lot more likely that a consumer would not be able to keep track of q's as well.

  7. Well, the store in Pace has been aggravating to me lately.. They have been very picky. They think they are right and will not try to scan to see if it approves. It takes time and holds up people in line.. so I just say whatever. Pulbix and coupons is the only way I can shop there and I'm sure a lot people are saying the same. If they start getting more picky about there store policy on coupons.. They will see decline in business. Its not worth the hassle and a lot of people I'm sure are saying the same. I will just stick to Target!! and the local stores around. I have not had
any problems with Target, as far a using my coupons there. You hand them at the end.. if they don't scan we pull the item and figured out why?.... PUBLIX will not do that!!!! I will try to keep going to Publix. If they keep being getting picky and pickier , I will up a few blocks and give my money elsewhere. I'm saying shopping at Publix is NOT the pleasure it used to be... but I will hang in there for a little longer.
